Jared Gordon wants a Top 15 opponent if he beats Rafa Garcia.
Gordon (21-7) will take on Garcia (17-4) in a lightweight tilt at Noche UFC on Sept. 13 at Frost Bank Arena in San Antonio, Texas.

Gordon has consistently faced tough competition in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, such as Charles Oliveira, Diego Ferreira and Nasrat Haqparast. “Flash” also gave Paddy Pimblett one of his toughest fights to date en route to a unanimous decision loss.
Gordon is 2-1 in his last three, with knockout wins over Olympic silver medallist Mark O. Madsen and veteran Thiago Moises. Meanwhile, Garcia is 3-1 in his last four and coming off a unanimous decision win over Vinc Pichel.
Gordon is looking to make his way into the rankings if he gets past Garcia. While Gordon is willing to fight anyone in the Top 15, he called out Renato “Money” Moicano (20-7). Gordon noted that “Money Moicano” is currently on a two-fight skid.
“I would love a fuc*ing Top 5 [opponent], obviously,” Gordon told Home of Fight. “I think I deserve it, I’ve shown that I’ve deserved it. There are guys that are on losing streaks in the Top 15. I think Renato is on a losing streak. I would love to fight him. I would love to fight anyone… I really like Renato, he’s fuc*ing hysterical, he’s smart, he’s a good businessman…And I think he’s a great fighter.. But I got to fight someone, so let me fight Renato.”
After going on a four-fight winning streak, Carneiro suffered a submission loss in a failed short-notice title bid against Islam Makhachev this past January. The Brazilian has since dropped a unanimous decision against Beneil Dariush at UFC 317 in June.
