A matchup between flyweight contenders Jessica Eye and Cythia Calvillo is expected to headline the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s June 13 event.
ESPN.com was first to report the bout. The location for the UFC Fight Night event is currently unknown.
Eye has won four of her last five Octagon appearances since dropping from bantamweight to 125 pounds. The Xtreme Couture representative challenged for flyweight gold at UFC 238, where she suffered a head-kick KO loss to reigning champion Valentina Shevchenko. She rebounded from that defeat with a unanimous verdict over Vivane Araujo at UFC 245 on Dec. 14.
Calvillo, meanwhile, is coming off a majority draw against Marina Rodriguez at UFC on ESPN 7 on Dec. 7. Prior to that, the 32-year-old Tiger Muay Thai product began her promotional tenure with victories in five of her first six UFC bouts. Her only defeat during that time came at the hands of former strawweight champion Carla Esparza at UFC 219.
