Jon Jones’ return to the Octagon may be coming a lot sooner than fans expect. The light heavyweight champion took to Twitter early this morning (Thurs. November 14, 2019) to tease that his next fight is just “a few weeks away.”

Just a few weeks away from my next fight, can’t wait for you guys to find out when.”

This sparked a ton of reactions from fans, and led to some interesting responses from Jones. One fan asked for a hint as to who the opponent might be. Jones responded by saying his next opponent has something in common with former foes Ryan Bader and Daniel Cormier.

OK, the person I’ll be fighting has something in common with Ryan Bader and Daniel Cormier.”

One fan responded by saying Bader, Cormier, and Dominick Reyes are all undefeated – until they fight Jones. “Bones” suggested that was the right answer.

Ding ding ding!!”

Jones went on to suggest he considered holding out for more money before fighting again, but instead opted to be an active champion and take out as many title challengers as possible.

“Yeah I was thinking about holding out and playing money games but I said screw it. I’m only young once, I got plenty of money. I’m out after these contenders hearts, I’m out here dream collecting.”

Yeah it does, we can’t count the homeruns of yesterday. I feel most alive when I have a mission”

How soon do you think Jones’ fight with Reyes will be taking place?
