Josh Parisian vs. Roque Martinez in the works for UFC event on June 19

A heavyweight fight between Josh Parisian and Roque Martinez is currently in the works for the upcoming UFC card on June 19.

Multiple sources close to the situation confirmed the news to MMA Fighting on Wednesday following an initial report from MMA DNA.

A two-time Contender Series veteran and former Ultimate Fighter competitor, Parisian will be looking for his first win in the UFC when he returns in June. Parisian lost in his debut fight to Parker Porter this past November.

As for Martinez, he finds himself in a similar position after dropping back-to-back fights in his two previous appearances in the UFC. Prior to those two losses, Martinez had earned a pair of wins including a victory under the RIZIN banner.

Parisian vs. Martinez joins a growing card on June 19, which also features a welterweight showdown between Matt Brown and Dhiego Lima.
