Kevin Holland’s fifth Octagon appearance of 2025 didn’t go as planned.

After absorbing a pair of low blows from Mike Malott in the opening stanza, Holland struggled the rest of the way in a unanimous decision defeat at UFC Vancouver on Saturday night. “Trailblazer” appeared to consider not continuing after the second groin strike from his opponent, but he ultimately elected to soldier onward.

Holland appeared to be hindered from that point forward, however, and Malott was able to earn his third consecutive victory as a result. Holland didn’t mention the fouls in his initial statement on social media.

“No doubt we suck, never bet on me again and I need a head massage,” Holland wrote on X.

However, Holland did address the the groin shots in an ensuing post. Many observers were surprised that referee Dan Miragliotta didn’t deduct a point from Malott following the second infraction.

Holland is now 2-3 in 2025, with losses to Malott, Daniel Rodriguez and Reinier de Ridder and victories over Vicente Luque and Gunnar Nelson.
