After Sam Hughes recently lost her scheduled fight at UFC Vegas 20, she has quickly found another opponent.
Hughes is now set to face Loma Lookboonme at the May 1 UFC event, multiple people with knowledge of the replacement told MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck.
Hughes (5-2, 0-1 in the UFC) is searching for her first UFC win after being knocked out in the first round by Tecia Torres at UFC 256. She recently replaced Hannah Cifers and was paired against Emily Whitmire at UFC Vegas 20, but Whitmire dropped out of the fight.
Lookboonme (5-2, 2-1 in the UFC) won her previous outing against Jinh Yu Frey via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Island 4 this past October.
The main event and location for the May 1 fight card has yet to be confirmed.
