Louis Smolka Returns to UFC, Meets Sumudaerji Sumudaerji in Beijing on Nov. 24

As the Ultimate Fighting Championship continues its flyweight purge, former 125-pound competitor Louis Smolka will return to the Las Vegas-based promotion at bantamweight.

Smolka will face Sumudaerji Sumudaerji at UFC Fight Night 141 in Beijing on Nov. 24. MMAjunkie.com was first to confirm the 135-pound booking following the initial report of Smolka’s return from MMA journalist James Lynch. UFC Fight Night 141 takes place at Cadillac Arena and is headlined by a heavyweight duel between Curtis Blaydes and Francis Ngannou. The card will stream in its entirety on UFC Fight Pass.

Smolka exited the UFC on a four-fight losing streak but has since won a trio of bouts on the regional scene. “Da Last Samurai” went 5-5 overall during his first go-round in the Octagon, posting wins over the likes of Ben Nguyen, Neil Seery and Patrick Holohan.

The 22-year-old Sumudaerji has compiled an 8-1 mark while competing exclusively under the Wu Lin Feng banner in his home country of China. He has finished seven of his wins by KO/TKO and one via submission.
