Main Cards Finalized for PFL Postseason; Linton Vassell Joins Heavyweight Bracket

The pairings are officially set for the Professional Fighters League postseason.

While the brackets were initially determined during last month’s final series of regular season events, there has been one significant change to the playoff matchups. The PFL announced on Tuesday that Linton Vassell will replace the injured Valentin Moldvavsky and face Oleg Popov in a heavyweight semifinal on Aug. 2 at Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.

The PFL 7 postseason event will be headlined by a heavyweight tilt between Denis Goltsov and Tim Johnson. The main card will also include a pair of women’s flyweight semifinals: Dakota Ditcheva vs. Jena Bishop and Liz Carmouche vs. Taila Santos.

Two weeks later, light heavyweights and lightweights will get the spotlight for PFL 8 at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida. A 205-pound semifinal between Impa Kasanganay and Joshua Silveira β€” which is a rematch of the 2023 PFL final β€” will serve as the evening’s main event, while Rob Wilkinson and Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov will lock horns in the co-headliner. Two lightweight semifinals round out the main draw: Gadzhi Rabadanov vs. Michael Dufort and Brent Primus vs. Clay Collard.

The PFL postseason concludes on Aug. 23 at The Anthem in Washington, D.C., with featherweight and welterweight semifinals. The PFL 9 card will be headlined by a 145-pound tilt pitting Brendan Loughnane against Kai Kamaka III, while Magomed Umalatov will meet Don Madge in a welterweight scrap in the co-main event. Gabriel Braga will lock horns with Timur Khizriev in the other featherweight semi, and Shamil Musaev will collide with Murad Ramazanov in the other half of the bracket at 170 pounds.

All PFL postseason events will air on ESPN and ESPN+ in the United States, with the main cards beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. Preliminary bouts will be announced at a later date.
