Mike Tyson Claims He Is Fighting Floyd Mayweather Next

Mike Tyson still seemingly has some fight left in him.

Tyson recently announced that he is fighting fellow legend Floyd Mayweather next. Tyson claims the matchup will take place in March 2026 in Africa. Tyson believes it’ll be one of the biggest sports events in history.

While Tyson hung up his gloves in 2005, the former heavyweight champion returned to action last year against YouTuber Jake Paul. The 59-year-old dropped a unanimous decision against Paul on a Netflix booking that was criticized by fans and pundits. Tyson also battled Roy Jones Jr. to a draw in an exhibition bout in November 2020. Meanwhile, Mayweather has primarily competed in exhibition boxing matches since beating former UFC champion Conor McGregor in 2017. “Money” has fought influencers Logan Paul and Deji Olatunji, MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura, and kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, among others.
