There wasn’t a lot to laugh about on April Fool’s Day this year.
With the world gripped by the coronavirus pandemic, and the MMA world taking an even more direct hit on April 1 with UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov apparently putting the final nail in the coffin on his fifth (!) scheduled matchup with Tony Ferguson, pranks were in short supply.
But a few fighters did their best to lighten the mood, while the rest simply took the occasion to comment on how absurd day-to-day life has been in 2020 so far.
Chase Hooper supposedly cut off his trademark afro (if this turns out to be for real, sorry Chase!).
Angela Hill is gearing up for a move to flyweight!

Looks like UFC 249 will have a blockbuster main event after all, according to Henry Cejudo’s coach Eric Albarracin.
