A flyweight bout is currently in the works for an upcoming UFC card on Feb. 27 as Montana De La Rosa is expected to face Mayra Bueno Silva.
Multiple sources confirmed the matchup to MMA Fighting on Tuesday with verbal agreements in place from both athletes.
After first making her debut in the UFC after competing on The Ultimate Fighter, De La Rosa has put together a 5-2 record overall including wins over Rachael Ostovich and Mara Romero Borella. Most recently, De La Rosa dropped a decision to Viviane Araujo in September.
As for Silva, the Brazilian currently stands with a 2-1 resume in the UFC including a pair of submission wins over Borella and Gillian Robertson.
De La Rosa vs. Silva is expected to join the upcoming card in February with light heavyweights Dominick Reyes and Jiri Prochazka scheduled to headline the event.
