Ovince St. Preux to Lock Horns with Ryan Spann at UFC Event on Feb. 8

Ovince St. Preux is slated to face Ryan Spann at a UFC event early next year.

The bout between the two light heavyweights will take place on a yet-to-be announced card – reportedly in Houston — on Feb. 8. Sherdog.com confirmed the bout following an initial report from MMAjunkie.com.

St. Preux is coming off of a submission win over Michal Oleksiejczuk, where he landed another ‘Von Preux’ choke to force the tapout at UFC Fight Night 160. The win snapped a two-fight losing streak where he was submitted by Nikita Krylov and lost a decision to Dominick Reyes. St. Preux owns notable wins over Corey Anderson, Mauricio Run and Patrick Cummins, among others.

Spann, meanwhile, is 3-0 inside the Octagon, where most recently he submitted Devin Clark at UFC Fight Night 161. Before that, he scored a first-round knockout win over Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at UFC 237. He is also the former Legacy Fighting Alliance champion.
