A lightweight showdown between Patricky Freire and Goiti Yamauchi is set for Bellator 205, sources confirmed to MMA Fighting following a report by MMA Junkie.
Bellator 205 takes place at the Centurylink Arena in Boise, Idaho, and features AJ McKee Jr. vs. Pat Curran in the main event.
Freire (19-8) is looking to score his fourth victory in a row in the Bellator cage after knocking out Derek Campos in February. Prior to that, “Pitbull” defeated Ben Henderson via split decision and finished Josh Thomson.
Yamauchi (22-4) will attempt to rebound from a loss to former champion Michael Chandler in January, which snapped a perfect 3-0 with a trio of first-round submissions since he moved up to the lightweight division.
