PFL Africa Semifinals Set for Rwanda on Oct. 18

Professional Fighters League is set to break new ground in Africa this fall.

The organization on Monday announced that the first-ever PFL Africa semifinal card will be held at BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda on Oct. 18. According to a release, the event “marks the biggest MMA competition ever to take place in East Africa, underscoring Rwanda’s growing reputation as a premier destination for world-class sports and entertainment.”

PFL Africa 3 will include semifinal matchups at featherweight, bantamweight, welterweight and heavyweight. The evening’s featured bout is a 145-pound tournament clash between Patrick Ocheme and Abdoul Razac Sankara, while Nkosi Ndebele will face Simbarashe Hokonya at 135 pounds in the co-main event. The card will stream in its entirety via the PFL app in the United States.

“This is a historic moment for PFL and for the sport across Africa,” said PFL CEO John Martin. “We’re proud to bring the first-ever PFL Africa semifinals to Kigali’s BK Arena and showcase the continent’s best on one of its premier stages.”
