The Professional Fighters League will remain on ESPN for the foreseeable future.
The PFL announced via The Hollywood Reporter that they have inked a multi-year renewal with its most recent broadcast partner. The promotion just capped off its 2023 season with the PFL World Championship, which was preceded by the announcement that it acquired Bellator.
“We’re really excited about the next chapter, obviously ESPN is a key destination for MMA and not only are we focused on growing the PFL, but we’re playing a role in growing the sport here in the U.S., engaging avid MMA fans as well as bringing stick and ball fans over,” PFL CEO Peter Murray told THR. “We’re really in position to have a successful launch of our pay-per-view business.”
According to the announcement, the new deal will see the PFL’s regular season, playoffs, and championship events will remain on the ESPN platform — both lineal and on ESPN+ — and ESPN+ PPV will become the exclusive home for their soon-to-be-launched PFL PPV Super Fight Division events, which is expected to have bouts featuring Francis Ngannou and Jake Paul.
