Quillan Salkilld is eyeing a big step up for his next fight.
Salkilld recently called out Renato “Moicano”u for a clash at UFC 325, which is rumored to go down in Sydney, Australia, in February 2026. However, Salkilld knows his callout might be too lofty with just three UFC outings under his belt. While Salkilld is confident that he is ready for “Moicano,” the Australian is willing to fight any ranked opponent who is a big draw.

“It’s gonna be early February like the rumors say, I hope I can definitely get on that one,” Salkilld said on “The Ariel Helwani Show.”
“And hopefully, I can get on the main card. That would be a wicked step up – main card spot… Someone like a ‘Moicano’ would be cool. I think that’s a tough challenge to face. I’m ready for that. But at the same time, I understand I’ve only had three fights. So I don’t know if that ends up being a stupid callout because of my inexperience. But I’m ready for that challenge. I hope they give me someone along the lines of that. Anyone that’s ranked, a well known name.”
Aussie Prospect On a Roll
Salkilld is unbeaten in 10 straight outings, since suffering his lone professional loss in his pro debut in 2021. Salkilld earned his contract on the Contender Series last year and knocked out Anshul Jubli in 19 seconds in his UFC debut earlier this year. Salkilld followed it up with a unanimous decision win over Yanal Ashmouz before knocking out Nasrat Haqparast in his most recent outing at UFC 321 last weekend in Abu Dhabi.
Meanwhile, “Moicano” has beaten the likes of Calvin Kattar, Cub Swanson, Drew Dober, Jalin Turner and Benoit St. Denis in a UFC career spanning over a decade. The Brazilian was submitted in a short-notice title bid against Islam Makhachev earlier this year. “Moicano” has since dropped a unanimous decision against Beneil Dariush, which put him on a two-fight slump.
