Battle Faces Struggling Opponent at DBX 3
Battle was released by the UFC after missing weight for back-to-back fights. The second of those occurred ahead of UFC 319 and resulted in the cancellation of his proposed middleweight clash against Nursulton Ruziboev. Prior to that, “The Butcher” missed weight for a 170-pound booking against Randy Brown at UFC 310. “The Ultimate Fighter 29” winner went 7-1 with one no contest in the Octagon prior to his release.
De Freitas owns an 8-9 professional mark in MMA but has lost seven of his last eight apperances. He most recently fought in November 2024, falling via TKO in 20 seconds due to an ankle injury.
