So, you’re going to say I’m bad for losing to Makhachev? You also lost to Makhachev in a kimura! Only a white belt loses in a kimura. Tell me, who did you beat?”
Purse vs. Purse
“Moicano” then proposed a bet with Hooker should their fight come to fruition.
“If I lose, you get all my purse; if I win, you give me your purse. Want to bet?” he said. “This is a fight I really wanted. It’s an easy fight, easy money.”
The Brazilian is more than willing to accept the fight, but on one condition.
“It’s not going to happen in Australia,” he said. “Why would I go to Australia and lose 40% in taxes? To have to spend two weeks acclimatizing? Who’s going to pay for the plane and hotel for me and my coaches and at least one training partner for two weeks? Is it the turtle in the tree? is it the UFC? No! It’s Moicano. Remember, I’m in this business for the money, I want to put money in my pocket.
“Now, if you want to schedule this fight in Las Vegas or anywhere else with zero tax, I’m in. But I’m not going to Australia, and the UFC knows that.”
