Report: Ketlen Vieira vs. Marion Reneau Targeted for UFC 250 in Sao Paulo

A women’s bantamweight clash pitting Ketlen Vieira against Marion Reneau is in the works for UFC 250.

MMAjunkie.com was first to bring word of the matchup, which has not been officially announced by the promotion. UFC 250 takes place on May 9 at Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil and will also reportedly feature a bantamweight championship clash between Henry Cejudo and Jose Aldo.

Vieira returned to the Octagon after more than a year away at UFC 245, where she suffered a first-round knockout loss to Irene Aldana. Prior to that, the Brazilian was viewed as a future title contender thanks to victories in her first four UFC bouts – including triumphs over Cat Zingano and Sara McMann.

Reneau, meanwhile, is looking to return to the win column after suffering back-to-back losses against Yana Kunitskaya and Zingano. “The Belizean Bruiser” is 5-4-1 during her promotional tenure with notable wins over McMann and Jessica Andrade.
