Sean Strickland has a hit list for Chris Curtis after he returned to welterweight on Saturday.
Curtis dropped to 170 pounds for the first time in his UFC career against Max Griffin at UFC Nashville. Curtis earned a split-decision victory over Griffin after a back-and-forth affair. A longtime teammate and friend of Curtis, Strickland, made a surprise appearance at the UFC Nashville post-fight media scrum, where revealed a hit list for his training partner. Strickland has beef with both Michael Chiesa and Belal Muhammad and wants Curtis to avenge him.
“That piece of s—t Chiesa, I heard you’re gonna starch that motherf—-er… He runs his f—-ing mouth. I like him. I like him. But he runs his f—-ing mouth dude,” Strickland said. “Now that you’re a ‘70er, I got a f—-ng hit list dawg. Cheisa, Belal Muhammad. And have my revenge.”
Curtis Reacts to Teammate’s ‘Hit List’
Curtis revealed that Strickland has been going on at him to fight Chiesa.
“So Sean Strickland hates Michel Chiesa for many many reasons. He’s like, ‘Fight Mike Chiesa.’ I’m like, ‘Stop thinking about Mike Chiesa.’ Jesus Christ,” Curtis said.
Known for his controversial comments, Strickland offended Chiesa with his take on dog lovers. Strickland claimed men who love dogs, especially ones without children, should rethink their lives. Chiesa hit back, advising Strickland to rethink his own life for hating dog lovers. The former middleweight champ even challenged Chiesa to a fight.
Strickland’s beef with Muhammad stemmed from the Israel-Palestine conflict. Muhammad, a devout Muslim, has openly expressed his support for Palestine. Meanwhile, Strickland criticized Palestinians but also condemned the notion of America joining Israel in the war against Iran.
