Talita Nogueira finally has a date and opponent set for her next Bellator bout. “Treta” will face off against Jessy Miele in a featherweight contest at Bellator 231 in Uncasville, Conn., on Oct. 25, promotion officials told MMA Fighting.
Nogueira (7-1) last fought in July 2018, losing via third-round TKO to 145-pound champion Julia Budd. The jiu-jitsu world champion was 7-0 as a mixed martial artist prior to challenging Budd for the Bellator gold.
Miele (8-3) joins the Bellator featherweight division after winning three in a row in the regional circuit, two by way of stoppage. “The Widowmaker” scored half of her MMA wins via submission.
Bellator 231 will take place at the Mohegan Sun Arena and features a rematch between Frank Mir and Roy Nelson in the main event. The heavyweight veterans first fought in May 2011, with Mir winning an unanimous decision.
