‘The Lazy King’ to Headline PFL Europe Event in Hometown on Sept. 26

Abdoul Abdouraguimov will get to compete on home soil when Professional Fighters League heads to Nantes, France, later this year.

“The Lazy King” will compete in the headliner against an as yet to be announced opponent at PFL Europe Nantes on Sept. 26 at Zenith Nantes Metropole, the promotion announced Monday. It’s the first time in his career that Abdouraguimov will get to compete in his hometown.

“PFL is coming home! After 21 professional fights, I can finally fight in front of my home crowd, where I grew up and learned this sport,” Abdouraguimov said in a release. “And now, it’s at the Zenith Nantes Métropole that I’m going to do the next ‘Lazy Show.’ Grab a seat, some popcorn, and be good, but not too much, because I’m here to entertain you.”

The 29-year-old Abdouraguimov has been victorious in his last nine professional bouts. “The Lazy King” has competed three times under the PFL banner during that streak, earning victories over Brad Wheeler, Jack Grant and Laureano Staropoli. The MMA Factory product has lost just once in 21 career appearances.

PFL Europe Semifinals Head to Nantes

PFL Europe 3 will also include semifinal bouts at lighweight and bantamweight. The winners will advance to the PFL Europe Championship on Dec. 13 for a chance to win $100,000. PFL Nantes can be viewed in the United States on the PFL App.

“This is our third new city in as many events for PFL Europe in 2025, and I’ve heard special things about Nantes,” said PFL CEO Peter Murray. “When we have a star on our hands like ‘Lazy King,’ it makes sense to bring him to his home crowd for the first time in his career. But we’re not going to stop there, we are going to fill this card with the best talent France has to offer and put on an unforgettable night of MMA.”
