This is the UFC 314 live blog for Bryce Mitchell vs. Jean Silva, the main card featherweight fight Saturday at Kaseya Center in Miami.
Mitchell (17-2) has made headlines for all the wrong reasons in recent months after making reprehensible comments on his podcast in which he praised Hitler and questioned the existence of the Holocaust. The Arkansas native’s notoriety has overshadowed his accomplishments in the cage as he recently improved to 8-2 in the UFC with a third-round knockout of Kron Gracie.
This matchup materialized following a callout by Silva (15-2) at UFC Seattle this past February. The Fighting Nerds standout targeted Mitchell for a big pay-per-view clash and Mitchell was quick to accept the challenge. “Lord” now seeks to silence Mitchell and continue his impressive UFC run that has seen him go 4-0, all by knockout.
