Rousey recently made headlines with her controversial comments about Rogan on Bert Kreischer’s podcast. Rousey (12-2) called Rogan a “fan” rather than an “expert” of the sport. However, Valentina Shevchenko disagrees. The UFC women’s flyweight champion considers Rogan an expert on martial arts. “Bullet” also lauded Rogan as a great human being and a prime example for the youth.

“I see Joe Rogan as huge expert of Martial Arts, noble man, hunter, sportsman, and good example for youth,” Shevchenko wrote on X, while sharing Rousey’s comments on Rogan.
While Rogan has never competed in MMA, the renowned podcaster has experience in taekwondo. Rogan has been in the UFC since the early days; expert or not, the UFC color commentator is certainly an influential figure in MMA.
Meanwhile, Rousey defended her UFC bantamweight title six times before losing to Holly Holm. “Rowdy” failed to reclaim the title against Amanda Nunes and parted ways with the UFC in 2016. Rousey joined the WWE in 2018, where she also had an illustrious career before retiring in 2023.
Meanwhile, Shevchenko (25-4) is set to defend her flyweight title against former strawweight champ Zhang Weili at UFC 322 on Nov. 15 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
