UFC Vegas 91 bonuses: 4 fighters awarded for thrilling knockouts

It was a knockout night Saturday at the UFC APEX.

UFC Vegas 91 saw a bevy of exciting finishes on the main card, including in the main event between Alex Perez and Matheus Nicolau, and in the co-main event between Bogdan Guskov and Ryan Spann. Following the conclusion of the event, Perez and Guskov were awarded with $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses, as were Jhonata Diniz and Uros Medic, who scored knockouts of Austen Lane and Tim Means, respectively.

There was no Fight of the Night awarded on Saturday.

Perez closed the show in spectacular fashion with a one-shot knockout of Nicolau in a battle of ranked flyweights. It was an important win for Perez, who entered the contest on a career-worst three-fight losing streak. The one-time flyweight title challenger is no stranger to exciting performances and he has now earned three Performance of the Night bonuses in his time with the UFC.

Guskov picked up the biggest win of his career with a knockout of top 15-ranked light heavyweight Ryan Spann. The Uzbekistan native shook off a rough opening round to finish Spann with strikes in Round 2.

Also on the main card, Diniz made an impactful UFC debut with a second-round clubbing of Lane, and Medic put away longtime welterweight veteran Means in a little over two minutes.
