Less than 24 hours after her inclusion into Bellator 238, Valerie Loureda has been scratched from the event due to an injury.
MMA Fighting confirmed the news with a person close to the promotion following a report from MyMMANews.com.
The nature of Loureda’s injury is not clear at the time of this writing. She planned to return to the cage after a turn on the reality show Exathlon in August.
It’s also clear whether Loureda’s originally opponent, Tara Graff, will be re-booked against another opponent for the Jan. 25 fight card at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif.
Loureda is 2-0 in the Bellator cage after transitioning from competitive taekwondo.
