Ross Pearson did not receive a warm welcome in his return to the cage.
Taking his first MMA fight after a successful boxing debut in May, the UFC vet and winner of “The Ultimate Fighter 9” was on the wrong end of an incredible “rolling thunder” kick, courtesy of Davy Gallon:
The bout took place Saturday at an MTK MMA show in London, with Pearson and Gallon booked for the welterweight headliner. Gallon landed his highlight-reel blow late in the third round to upset Pearson, a veteran of 26 octagon bouts.
Gallon improved his pro record to 18-7-2, while Pearson fell to 20-17 (1 NC) after suffering his third consecutive loss.
