Gaethje recently accepted a $100 bet for a leg kick against longtime coach Luke Caudillo. Caudillo winced the moment Gaethje landed and immediately limped his way to bottle of beer.

“Why would you kick it that hard? Jesus!” Caudillo said.
Get Your Money’s Worth
Gaethje jokingly said that he made the kick worth the money. “The Highlight” claims he would have landed a lighter kick if it were $20 bet.
“It’s a $100 leg kick,” Gaethje said. “If you would’ve bet $20, I would have given you $20 on that kick, but you wanted to bet $100.”
Gaethje and Caudillo share a bond that often leads to brutal challenges. Caudillo was recently seen dropping “The Highlight” during a body shot challenge.
Gaethje (26-5) was threatening retirement if denied a title shot in his next fight. The lightweight title picture suddenly changed with champion Ilia Topuria taking a short hiatus due to personal reasons. Gaethje is now scheduled to fight Paddy Pimblett (23-3) for the interim title at UFC 324 on Jan. 24 in Las Vegas.
