The UFC veteran has booked a second fight with Dirty Boxing, as he will square off against Nicholas Kohring at DBX 4 on Oct. 30 in Nashville. The promotion announced the bout on Wednesday. “The Butcher” defeated Derik de Freitas via first-round TKO at DBX 3 on Aug. 29.

Kohring, 35, has compiled a 13-2 MMA record but hasn’t fought since July 2022. He was in action more recently at BKFC 59 in March 2024, when he scored a 30-second stoppage of Kyle McElroy.
Battle Signed with PFL Last Month
After parting ways with the UFC, Battle signed with the PFL last month with designs on competing in the middleweight division. It is currently unclear if he will take part in the organization’s tournament format, or if he fight in showcase-type bouts at other events. Apparently, Battle still has freedom to compete with DBX despite signing with the PFL.
Battle was released by the UFC after missing weight for back-to-back fights. The second of those occurred ahead of UFC 319 and resulted in the cancellation of his proposed middleweight clash against Nursulton Ruziboev. Prior to that, “The Butcher” missed weight for a 170-pound booking against Randy Brown at UFC 310. “The Ultimate Fighter 29” winner went 7-1 with one no contest in the Octagon prior to his release.
