Zabit Magomedsharipov, Calvin Kattar Rescheduled for UFC Fight Night 163 in Moscow

A pivotal featherweight clash between Zabit Magomedsharipov and Calvin Kattar will take place a few weeks later than originally anticipated.

According to ESPN, Magomedsharipov vs. Kattar has been rescheduled for UFC Fight Night 163 in Moscow on Nov. 9. The bout was initially set for UFC on ESPN 6 in Boston on Oct. 18 but had to be delayed due to a Magomedsharipov injury. UFC Fight Night 163 takes place at CSKA Arena and is headlined by a heavyweight duel between Junior dos Santos and Alexander Volkov. The card will air on ESPN+.

Magomedsharipov has been victorious in 17 of his 18 professional bouts thus far, a run that includes five triumphs in the UFC. Most recently, the 28-year-old Dagestani outpointed Jeremy Stephens at UFC 235 on March 2.

The change in venue is likely disappointing for Kattar, who hails from Massachusetts and is known as “The Boston Finisher.” The 31-year-old CES MMA veteran has won four of his five Octagon appearances and is coming off a first-round TKO of former title challenger Ricardo Lamas at UFC 238.
