Zelim Imadaev vs. Danny Roberts announced for UFC Moscow

Zelim Imadaev has himself a home date.

The 24-year-old Russian will fight Danny Roberts in a welterweight bout at the UFC’s return to Moscow on Nov. 9. Officials announced the matchup Monday following an initial report by Sportbox.ru.

Imadaev suffered his first defeat in nine pro bouts when he dropped a majority decision in his UFC debut to Max Griffin at UFC 236 in April. Prior to that, he had won all of his fights by knockout, including three wins in Russia’s Fight Nights Global promotion.

Roberts, 16-5 as a pro and 5-4 in the Octagon, is coming off of consecutive losses to Michel Pereira and Claudio Silva. “Hot Sauce” was defeated by Pereira via first-round KO at UFC Rochester in May. This will be Roberts’s third fight of 2019.
