Valerie Loureda is ready to resume her mixed martial arts career following a stint on the reality show “Exatlon Estados Unidos.”
Loureda will face Tara Gaff at Bellator 238 on Jan. 25. MMAjunkie.com was first to report the flyweight matchup, which has not yet been finalized. Loureda vs. Gaff is expected to be part of the preliminary card. Bellator 238 takes place at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., and is headlined by a women’s featherweight title clash between Julia Budd and Cristiane Justino.
“Exatlon Estados Unidos” premiered in August on Telemundo and featured well-known figures competing against normal people in athletic competitions. Yoel Romero and Jorge Masvidal previously competed on the show. The 21-year-old American Top Team representative last competed at Bellator 222, where she took a unanimous verdict over Larkyn Dasch.
Nicknamed “The Tiny Terror,” Gaff has compiled a 1-1 mark while fighting in the King of the Cage promotion. She hasn’t competed since November 2018.
