French Prospect to Face ‘The Hulk’ at UFC Fight Night 269

A light heavyweight showdown between Oumar Sy and Ion Cutelaba has been booked for UFC Fight Night 269.

Cutelaba confirmed the pairing on social media following an initial report from MMAjunkie.com. UFC Fight Night 269 takes place on March 14 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and airs on Paramount+. A headliner has not been confirmed for the card.

France vs. Moldova

A native of Paris, Sy has been victorious in three of his four Octagon appearances. Most recently, the 30-year-old Bulgarian Top Team product defeated Brendson Ribeiro via first-round TKO at UFC Paris on Sept. 6. Sy has won 12 of 13 professional outings overall.

Cutelaba has compiled an 8-10-1 UFC mark since making his promotional debut in 2016. “the Hulk” went 1-1 in 2025, submitting Ibo Aslan at UFC Fight Night 252 before dropping a split verdict against Modestas Bukauskas at UFC 315.
