An injury has forced Misha Cirkunov out of his next fight.
Cirkunov was scheduled to fight Ryan Spann in a light heavyweight bout at UFC Vegas 17 on Dec. 19, but officials announced Friday that the bout has been postponed following an initial report by TSN.
This was to be Cirkunov’s first fight of 2020. In his most recent outing in September of last year, he defeated Jimmy Crute in the first round via Peruvian necktie submission. Cirkunov has won two of his last three fights and his UFC record stands at 6-3.
Spann has fought twice in 2020. He defeated Sam Alvey by split decision at UFC 249 in May to win his eighth straight fight, but saw his streak snapped in September after suffering a first-round knockout loss at the hands of Johnny Walker. Prior to that setback, Spann was 4-0 in the UFC.
UFC Vegas 17 is scheduled to be headlined by a welterweight bout between two-time UFC title challenger Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson and Geoff Neal.

Tafon Nchukwi vs. Jamie Pickett
