Paddy Pimblett Weighs In On Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua

Paddy Pimblett still has difficulty accepting the fact that Jake Paul will fight Anthony Joshua.

Paul (12-1) and Joshua (28-4) are scheduled to headline a Netflix boxing card on Friday at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. Pimblett doesn’t think Paul has the slightest chance against Joshua. Pimblett wants the fellow Englishman to punch Paul’s head in.

Pure Madness

“I can’t get over how mad this is,” Pimblett said on Instagram. “How does this helmet think he’s going to have a go at AJ? Look at the size difference. We all want to see AJ absolutely punch his head in, but we might as well help the little —– out. Got an idea for him actually, to help him with that five-inch reach height advantage he keeps moaning about.”

Paul was originally scheduled to fight WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis last month. However, the fight fell through after Davis’ ex-girlfriend, Courtney Rossel, sued for domestic battery and other charges.

Having primarily fought retired MMA fighters, Paul has finished seven of his 12 career wins via knockout. “The Problem Child” comes off a unanimous decision win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Meanwhile, Joshua went on a four-fight winning streak after his trilogy title loss to Oleksandr Usyk in 2022. Joshua has since suffered a knockout loss to Daniel Dubois in September 2024.
