Shana Dobson looks to hand a UFC newcomer their first loss this February.
MMA Fighting confirmed with people with knowledge of the matchup that Dobson (4-4) will fight Casey O’Neill (5-0) at a Feb. 20 UFC event, with a location still to be announced.
The bout was first reported by MMA Junkie.
Dobson, 31, picked up a huge upset victory this past August, defeating top prospect Mariya Agapova by second-round TKO. That win snapped a three-fight losing skid for Dobson, who improved to 2-3 in the UFC.
O’Neill, 23, makes her UFC debut after winning both of her fights in 2020. In her previous outing, she defeated Christina Stelliou by second-round KO at a UAE Warriors show in September. The Scotland native recently made the move to Las Vegas after competing and training primarily in Australia.
