A light heavyweight showdown with the potential for fireworks is slated for UFC 327.
Two-time title challenger Dominick Reyes will square off against Johnny Walker on April 11 at an event that is rumored to take place at the Kaseya Center in Miami. MMA Mania was first to report the booking. UFC 327 has not been formally announced by the promotion.
Riding the Roller Coaster
Reyes began his promotional tenure with six consecutive triumphs to earn a shot at 205-pound gold. Though he came up short against Jon Jones at UFC 247, Reyes took “Bones” to the brink of defeat in their February 2020 bout. “The Devastator” faced Jan Blachowicz for the vacant light heavyweight belt in his next outing at UFC 253, falling to his Polish opponent via second-round TKO. That was part of a four-fight skid for Reyes, who returned to relevance with a three-fight finishing streak against Dustin Jacoby, Anthony Smith and Nikita Krylov from June 2024 to April 2025. The 36-year-old Californian saw his momentum halted at UFC Perth, where he suffered a first-round knockout loss to top contender Carlos Ulberg this past September.
Walker has endured his share of ups and downs durign his UFC Perth tenure. The Brazilian began his UFC career with three first-round stoppages but then dropped four of his next five Octagon appearances. The 33-year-old has continued with mixed results since then but is coming off a second-round technical knockout win over Mingyang Zhang at UFC Shanghai this past November. Walker owns other notable victories over the likes of Smith, Paul Craig, Misha Cirkunov, Ion Cutelaba and Khalil Rountree, among others.
