Video: Anderson Silva Training to Be Police Officer

Anderson Silva is set to scale new heights outside of combat sports.

Silva recently shared plans to pursue a career as a police officer in the California PD. “Spider” has since shared footage of his police training on Instagram.

Silva (34-11) is widely considered one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time. The Brazilian went on a 16-fight winning streak in the UFC, which included 10 middleweight title defenses. Silva parted ways with the UFC in 2020 but continued to compete in boxing matches. Silva most recently knocked out fellow UFC veteran Tyron Woodley in Miami last month. Silva subsequently announced plans to start police training at the Beverly Hills PD. The Brazilian-born, who lives in California, considers it his chance to give back to the United States.
