Makhachev (27-1) is known for his humor, which often involves wrestling. The former Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight champ spares absolutely no one when it comes to pranks. Makhachev once had a teammate tied to a pole with his hands bound to his legs. The Dagestani has been seen suplexing teammates in swimming pools on multiple occasions. Showing up at his friends’ doors as the police or shoving insects inside their shirts are also not out of Makhachev’s league.

Australian-Lebanese radio host Kristan Fahd, also known as Kris Fade, recently bore the brunt of Makhachev’s humor. Makhachev caught Fade in a rear-naked choke after someone jokingly asked the fighter to fix his neck. Fade nearly faded away, begging Makhachev not to choke him out. The ace grappler finally let go of Fade with a laugh.
Fade posted a video of the encounter, joking that he would beat Makhachev in Monopoly. Makhachev replied with his unique sense of humor:
“Call me if you can’t sleep 😂”
Makhachev defended his lightweight title four times, the most in the history of the division, before moving up to welterweight earlier this year. Makhachev is scheduled to challenge Jack Della Maddalena for the welterweight title in the UFC 322 main event on Nov. 15 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
