Jiri Prochazka Dismisses Rumors of Carlos Ulberg Matchup

Jiri Prochazka is still eyeing a title shot, as his matchup against Carlos Ulberg has not been officially confirmed.

Rumors recently surfaced about a booking between Prochazka and Ulberg at UFC 327 on April 11 at the Kaseya Center in Miami. However, Prochazka recently dismissed the rumors, claiming that the matchup is still under negotiation. Prochazka wants to fight by the end of March because he expects the birth of his baby in April. “BJP” also clarified that he is still eyeing a title shot.

Nothing to Report

“All this information on the internet about me and Ulberg is not true,” Prochazka said on his Instagram Stories. “Because the fight is not confirmed yet, it’s still in negotiation. And just for me, I can say I want to fight by the end of March. Because, in April it’s time for [new] baby… And that I want to fight for the title. This is it. Believe the official messages of UFC.”

Prochazka (32-5) has finished every UFC opponent put before him, with the exception of Alex Pereira. The Czech has suffered stoppage losses in two title fights against Pereira. Prochazka most recently scored a come-from-behind win over Khalil Rountree at UFC 320 in October 2025. The same card saw Pereira reclaim the light heavyweight title with a knockout win over Magomed Ankalaev in the main event. Prochazka has since been eyeing a title shot against Pereira, which is a tough ask considering his two previous losses against “Poatan.”

Meanwhile, Ulberg (13-1) has racked up a nine-fight winning streak with six finishes since his lone career loss in his UFC debut in 2021. “Black Jag” is coming off a first-round knockout win over Dominick Reyes at UFC Perth in September 2025.
